Multitude of recipes, variety of pigmenting techniques and processing techniques of pigmented products and variety of their applications needs using of several brands of titanium dioxide. Selection of an optimum brand taking into account all requirements of a given application with taking into consideration broad range of titanium dioxide brands offered on the market is not an easy task.
It is each time recommended to precede selection of an appropriate brand with analysis of:
- requirements resulting from the final application (type of product, its thickness, degree of non-transparency, colouring, application, etc.);
- pigment properties (physical-chemical properties, colouring, easiness of dispersing, durability);
- technical possibilities of pigmenting.In order to minimise risk, this selection is to be confirmed by execution of adequate tests on the laboratory and the industrial scales.
