After prior arrangement of quality requirements with the manufacturer this grade can be used for producing electrodes and fluxes.
Safety of use
TYTANPOL® RD-5 is safe to transport, use and disposal. The Safety Data Sheet provides detailed information on how to use our pigments safely.
Packaging and Transport
TYTANPOL® RD-5 is packed into:
- flexible bulk containers, the so-called big-bags, 500 kg or 1000 kg each,
- road tankers,
- at the customer’s request, also other packaging, e.g. polyethylene bags or water soluble paper bags.
TYTANPOL® RD-5 should be transported in covered means of transport, pursuant to the binding regulations, which protect the product against the action of water, precipitation, direct sunlight and damage to the packaging.
The number of layers of bags stacked flat should not exceed twenty-four.
The number of bags stacked flat on the pallet, which varies depending on the pallet dimensions, should not exceed eleven. If the product is transported in units formed on pallets, it is allowed to stack two layers at the most.
The product may also be transported in bulk in means of transport assigned for carrying dusty goods after it has been agreed in writing between the consignee and producer in conditions which guarantee the product quality at least as effectively as the packaging.
TYTANPOL ® RD-5 pigment is not classified as a dangerous substance, further to the UN Orange Book and international transportation codes, e.g. RID (rail transport), ADR (road transport) and IMDG (maritime transport).
If the product is transported in the road means of transport belonging to the consignee or a carrier acting at the direct order of the consignee, the responsibility for any deterioration of the product shall be borne by the customer or the carrier.
Storage
Titanium white should be kept in original undamaged packaging, in clean and dry storage buildings and protected against the influence of weather conditions (solar radiation, precipitation).
The number of layers of bags stacked flat should not exceed twenty-four. If the product is stored in units formed on pallets, it is allowed to stack three pallets at the most.
The pigment may be stored in bulk after it has been agreed in writing between the consignee and producer in conditions which guarantee the product quality at least as effectively as the packaging.
Flexible bulk containers (big-bags), 1000 kg each, are kept one at a time on pallets on high storage racks. It is also allowed to keep two layers of shrinkwrapped flexible bulk containers, 500 kg each, on a pallet on high storage racks.
Detailed information concerning safety in use of our pigments is available at „Safety Data Sheets”, in the SAFETY DATA SHEET.
